Michael Gay Bourke was the third Bishop of Wolverhampton from 1994 until 2007.[1]
Born on 28 November 1941 he was educated at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge [2] and Ripon College Cuddesdon and ordained in 1967. He began his ordained ministry as a curate at St James’ Grimsby[3] after which he spent many years in Bedfordshire[4] rising to be Archdeacon of Bedford, until his ordination to the episcopate.
